Dumb it Down: Is Silvio Berlusconi getting married again?

Our favourite prime minister Silvio Berlusconi is up to his old tricks...with someone fifty years younger than him.

Who is Silvio Berlusconi?

Have you been living under a rock?! He's Italy's all singing, all dancing, wild party-having former Prime Minister, as well as the owner and president of AC Milan. A hero to us all, he's currently in a little bit of trouble with the courts for having “Bunga Bunga” parties at his villa near Milan, as well as answering to a few other charges.

Apparently the “Bunga Bunga” name has something to do with a type of lapdance that Mr. Berlusconi enjoyed, but he claims it was a just a joke that the press misunderstood.

So who's the woman he's marrying?

The 27 year old stunner is Ms. Francesca Pascale, and she's due to become the third Mrs. Berlusconi. Silvio has described her as “a beautiful girl, beautiful from the outside, but even more beautiful inside” (gazzetadelsud.it).

There's a 49 year age difference between the two, which he even admitted himself is a little excessive, but his last wife cited that his eye for younger women was to blame for their divorce, so it's no surprise that he's gone for a different age profile for his next bride.

He's certainly not sticking to the “half your age plus seven” rule on this one, anyway.

What's he up to now then?

Well that depends, he claims he's going to run for Prime Minister of Italy again with his political organisation the People of Freedom, but he also was due to serve four years in prison after being sentenced for fraud in October. Right now, your guess is as good as ours, but we reckon we'll be seeing plenty more headlines about our friend Silvio before long...
