Are there any drinks which don't mix well with Jameson? This week's cocktail is a Jameson & Apple Juice. Couldn't be simpler.

A wise fruit-lover once said that an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

We don't know if he meant using a Granny Smith as a particularly potent missile aimed the General Practitioner in your life. But if that's one alternative use for a Granny Smith, another one could be to juice it and transform it into a winning cocktail.

All you'll need is:

• A measure of Jameson
• A dash of apple juice (the fresher the better...)
• A wedge of lime to garnish
