Tonight's TV consists of the hilarious Peter Kay and his Tour that didn’t Tour - Tour, get your GAA fix with Championship Matters and Jack Black stars in Nacho Libre.
Main Event: Peter Kay Live, Channel 4, 9pm
The Tour That Didn't Tour – Tour… Peter Kay kicks off Channel 4's Funny Fortnight, a selection of comedy comprising of never before seen new shows, stand-up acts and archive treats, such as Father Ted and The Office. Here the Peter brings his Tour That Didn't Tour – Tour, which includes previously unseen footage (in other words, not on the DVD), in a show that saw him return to live performance after a seven-year break and included 40 nights at the Manchester Arena and a night at our own O2.
Sporting Pick: Championship Matters, RTE2, 8.30pm
Everybody’s favourite Irish sports broadcaster Marty Morrissey presents a GAA debate show, in which a panel that includes players, managers and commentators discusses the latest from the All-Ireland Senior Football and Hurling Championships. It’ll will be interesting to hear what has to be said by the panelists tonight.
Movie Pick: Nacho Libre, RTE2, 12.40am
A portly Mexican friar working as a cook in an orphanage adopts the guise of a masked Mexican wrestler. He teams up with a thief and enters a competition to win money in order to feed the children - and hopefully impress a nun. It features Jack Black and it’s worth a watch if you’re up late tonight and you’re just looking for something easy to watch.
On-Demand Pick: Deadwood
Tonight’s UPC On Demand pick is the TV series Deadwood. Deadwood is an American Western drama so if you’re into your spaghetti westerns then you’re sure to love this. UPC's new On Demand service features top class entertainment, and includes the RTÉ Player, 3Player and a host of boxsets and other shows, free to all UPC customers. So have a gander if there’s nothing on terrestrial TV that takes your fancy.
