Tonights TV: Saw, blood and thunder at Stamford Bridge plus James Corden and friends
Tonight we will see blood and guts in the film Saw, possibly some bloodshed at Stamford Bridge after the weekend's fiery clash while A League of Their Own offers some comic relief.
Main Event: A League of Their Own, Sky Two, 10pm
Join James Corden and his team captains Jamie Redknapp and Andrew Flintoff for a light hearted look at all things sport. Jack Whitehall, John Bishop, Claudia Winkelman are joined by Olympians Louis Smith and Mo Farah.
Expect strong references to the ‘Mo-bot’ celebration.
Sporting Pick: Chelsea v Manchester United, Sky Sports 1, 7pm
Just three days after the controversial game in the Premier League, the same two sides will battle it out at Stamford Bridge for a place in the next round of the Capital Cup.
The sides are expected to make a raft of changes in personnel and Mark Clattenburg will be nowhere in sight, but it promises to be a tasty encounter at the Bridge.
Movie Pick: Saw, RTE 2, 11.45pm
Granted it is a little late for those who are up early in the morning, but a little blood and guts never killed anyone, figuratively speaking of course. The best in the series, the plot follows centres on a killer who kidnaps his victims and forces them to play sadistic games with life-or-death consequences.
Not for the squeamish.
