Tonight's Two-Hour Chill: Football, Superheroes and Born Survivors
Main Event: Bear's Top 25 Man Moments, Discovery Channel, 7pm
The Discovery Channel counts down the toughest 25 moments that former Special Air Service adventurer Bear Grylls has come up against. Expect daredevil antics and watching Bear eat weird things like insects, snakes and elephant poo. Because real men have no problem eating elephant poo if it means they’ll survive in the wild. Eh…yeah…
Sporting Pick: Champions League, Napoli v Chelsea, TV3, 7.30pm
Could this be the game that sounds the death knell for Andre Villas Boas’ term as Chelsea manager? Conceivably, yes, certainly if Chelsea suffer the same fate as Arsenal did on their travels to Italy last week.
The way Chelsea are playing at the moment, the last thing they need is a tough clash against a very good Napoli side containing the likes of Cavani, Hamsik and Lavezzi, but who knows, it could also be the game that turns their season around.
Having already helped knock Manchester City out of the competition, Napoli will certainly not fear their Premier League opponents and will fancy themselves to take a healthy advantage to Stamford Bridge in a fortnight’s time.
Movie Pick: Iron Man, Film 4, 9pm
You’ve probably already seen Iron Man, but as far as superhero films go – it’s a good one. An arms manufacturer taken hostage soon realises that the weapons he makes have been falling into the wrong hands. What does he do? He builds a high-tech armoured suit and then uses it to fight evil, obviously. Expect action, mild comedy and explosions – everything that makes a superhero film entertaining. Starring Robert Downey Jr, Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow.
