Relaxation 101

You know that almost everyday urge to shout at somebody about something? Shout Roulette allows you to scratch that itch.

You would think we have enough mediums to vent our feelings these days. Long gone is the time when a sternly worded letter to the paper was the only avenue for somebody to let off some steam about something that was bugging them.

Now you have Facebook, Twitter, forums and many other forms of social media which are great for many reasons, but one of the best is getting into a row with a stranger about something that gets under your skin.

However, if you wanted a face-to-face debate, the pub was probably your best bet, risking physical violence along the way,

Now someone has combined the thrill of shouting in someone's face with the safety of the internet. Shout Roulette is a great idea. If you are familiar with Chat Roulette, the random chat site, then you will get this quickly. Shout Roulette is slightly different as it allows you to pick a topic, decide what side you are on and shout at someone, via webcam, with the opposite view.

Being an American site, the subjects are currently dominated by the Presidential election but we spotted others like ‘South Park is better than Family Guy’ and ‘Lighters are better than bottle openers’. We could easily see ourselves shouting at a stranger over these important matters.

If you aren’t up to shouting just yet, you can observe others argue and if there is nobody in your subject, the site allows you to rant at an empty chair, Clint Eastwood style.

As we wrote this before half of America gets up, we suspect it will get busier, and better, as America gets later, and probably drunker. One to check back in on closer to midnight we suspect. Great idea though.
