GAA jerseys continue to crop up in the most unusual places. Today’s picture confirms a Kilkenny fan was at the US Open.
The second Major of the golf year, the US Open, is taking place at Olympic Club in San Francisco right now. It is a brute of a course but Peter Lawrie and Padraig Harrington are doing well while Graeme McDowell is doing very well. Rory McIlroy is not but that hasn’t dampened the mood of one Kilkenny man.
While he waits for Brian Cody’s men to get into action on June 23, one Cats fan has flown to the far side of the US to catch some golf. Thanks to the fast finger of Dylan Carlos, and his Skybox, here’s the proof that an unknown Noresider appeared right behind the greatest golfer ever, Jack Nicklaus.

A Kerry shirt was snapped at the Masters so the GAA are halfway to a unique Grand Slam, of sorts.
