While there are countless cracking images of the Olympic Torch Relay through Dublin today, this one of the great Henry Shefflin really took our fancy.
After all the giving out and grumbling about the visit of the torch to Dublin, the selection of the runners and all the fuss that goes with it, the day turned out pretty well.
The sun shone, the crowds were big and enthusiastic and the city looked great. Mission accomplished then.
But the sight of Kilkenny hurler Henry Shefflin, standing over the scene of many of his greatest triumphs, with the Olympic flame in his hand, is an image we never thought we would see. For this alone it was worth getting the flame to pay us a visit.
