Brazilian superstar, or shall we say former superstar, Ronaldinho recently helped himself to arguably the costliest mouthful in the history of carbonated cola.
The ex-Barcelona and AC Milan star was pictured alongside a thirst-slaking can of Pepsi during a press conference unveiling him at his new club Atletico Mineiro.
And that was too much to bear for Ronnie’s corporate backers Coca-Cola, who swiftly brought an end to a $750,000 a year endorsement deal.
A terse statement from Coke read, “Coca-Cola recognizes the career and the value of Ronaldinho. However, due to recent developments it has become impossible to continue the partnership.”
