Thank God for the Irish sense of humour, and access to flag manufacturers this summer, if not it would have been a very bleak Euro 2012.
What will we remember these Euros for? The poor performances? Certainly. The singing. Definitely. The endless stream of hilarious Irish flags. Ladies and gentleman, we have a winner.
We’ve had one for Angela Merkel, one for Long-Cox, one in Polish, lots of ones about Roy Keane and now, as the tournament comes to the end, we have one last entry in the cavalacade of funny Irish flags at the Euros.
We remember back before the Croatia game, a time that feels like decades ago but was in fact less than 10 days, people were joking on Twitter that Spain v Italy wasn’t bad for the minor match. Now a similar classic GAA question has made it to a flag, and it was there at the Italy game last night.
Hat tip to Barry Dunne @darrybunne, for sending it our way.
