We’re sure none of you enjoyed Ireland’s win tonight. James McClean enjoyed it even less.
The baffling non-selection of James McClean to start the game against Kazakhstan annoyed many Irish fans. The decision by Giovanni Trapattoni not to bring him on when we need to change things was even more infuriating.
But while we all sat at home and shouted at the telly, the Sunderland man was sat on the bench is Astana quietly getting more and more annoyed.
In the last few minutes he got onto Twitter to express himself. Whatever you think of Trapattoni’s tenure as boss, these comments by one of Ireland’s most promising young players can’t be good.
