Huge sporting action from right on our doorstep, as well as great comedy and a bit of Sci-Fi, what more could you ask for of a Tuesday evening?
Ireland v Austria, RTE 2, 7pm
The big sporting action of the night comes from the Aviva stadium, where the Boys in Green aim to keep the World Cup dream alive. Kick-off is at 7.45, but the coverage starts at 7pm. Not to be missed if you want to see what the lads in studio have to say, which, let’s face it, we all do.
New Girl, E4, 9pm
We know what you’re about to say, but don’t. We didn’t think we were going to like it either, but this show is actually hilarious, we dare you not to laugh at some Schmidty’s one liners. Also it stars the lovely Zooey Deschanel, who’s nice to look at.
Escape from LA, Sky 1, 10pm, Action/Sc-Fi
Kurt Russell stars in the 1993 Sequel to Escape from New York, a movie about…well…escaping from LA we suppose. It’s set in 2013, so worth a watch to see what the “future” was supposed to look like. It’s also directed by the legendary John Carpenter, so it is actually good too.
