Tonight’s Two-Hour Chill: Sexy Zooey, Champions League, Mad Max

Now that we're back into the swing of the week we can get a bit more hard core with our TV picks. Tonight's menu includes Zooey Deschanel, Champions League action and some Mad Max.

Sporting Pick: Champions League, Bayern Munich v Real Madrid, TV3, 7.30pm

Bayern Munich v Real Madrid (Kick-off 7.45pm). Tommy Martin presents coverage of the semi-final first-leg encounter at the Allianz Arena, where the German and Spanish clubs face each other. Both sides have been in tremendous form thus far in the knockout stages, and this clash is seen as a genuinely even contest. Bayern secured their place in the last four with a 4-0 aggregate victory over Marseille, winning 2-0 home and away, while Real comfortably dispatched APOEL by an aggregate score of 8-2. With commentary by Trevor Welch and Mark Lawrenson, and analysis from Tony Cascarino and Martin Keown.

Comic Relief: New Girl, RTÉ 2, 8.35pm

Zooey Deschanel's new show is good, but come on. Anything with her in it is going to captivate a male audience. Jess invites Paul, a fellow teacher she has a crush on, to the gang's Thanksgiving dinner party, but the proceedings do not go according to plan. Comedy, starring Zooey Deschanel, with Justin Long (He's Just Not That Into You).

Film Highlight: Mad Max 2, ITV4, 10pm

A former cop haunted by his tragic past roams the wasteland of Australia in the aftermath of a nuclear war. He arrives at a besieged settlement and grudgingly helps protect the residents from a horde of marauding bikers who want to get hold of their valuable supply of petrol. Futuristic adventure sequel, starring Mel Gibson, Bruce Spence, Vernon Wells, Emil Minty and Kjell Nilsson.
