Chris Brown has taken a pop at rapper Drake after releasing a single that makes reference to a nightclub brawl both were allegedly involved in a few weeks ago.
The track featuring fellow recording artist ‘The Game’ is called ‘I Don’t Like’ and makes reference to the brawl that occurred in an upmarket New York nightclub and resulted in several people being treated for lacerations from bottles that were thrown.
Some of the lyrics include:
"One-on-one, what you scared, bruh? / Matter fact, take care, bruh."
Rhyming “bruh” with “bruh,” Chris Brown is reminding everyone that he's a singer, not a rapper.
After that gem of the line he goes straight for the jugular, going down the well-worn rapper-diss route of…erm slagging Drake’s eyebrows…
"Them eyebrows, man, them shits is yikes / OVO, you overdosed, screamin' YOLO no, I live twice."
He goes on to describe the scene in the club when the fight broke out, "They throwin' bottles / I'm throwin' models." Careful Chris, I’m no PR expert, but throwing models isn’t an area that you want to get yourself associated with...
He also makes reference to the media treatment he received after he was arrested on charges that he assaulted his former girlfriend Rhianna in 2009 (here’s the warrant by the way in case you missed it.)
“The media crucified me/ like they crucified Christ.” Not much of a messiah complex there.
You stay classy Chris…
