Fancy a few laughs this summer? Then make sure you catch the delightful Tommy Tiernan as he embarks on his world tour.

Okay…so it’s not really a world tour insomuch as it is a tour of County Clare…but aside from that small fact, the craic is guaranteed to be at least 90 if not more. Why is Tommy keen to embark on a world tour of Clare? Sure why not?

Having lived directly across from the county for the past 20 years, Tommy now firmly believes that Clare is a land of fresh air, mighty light and wild music.

He also believes that it belongs more in Connaught than Munster, and there are reports that he is currently plotting some kind of crazy invasion in which he will attempt to steal the county back to Connaught…eh…okay…

Either way the series of stand-up shows that he has planned for the Banner County this summer should be hilarious and entertaining – two things that you’d expect from one of the masters of Irish comedy.

You can also expect to be laughing so hard that your stomach actually hurts and you can possibly expect to be convinced to dedicate yourself to the cause of bringing Clare back to Connaught. Great stuff.

So where can you catch the man himself in June? Tommy’s World Tour of Clare kicks off on June 21 at the Lakeside Hotel in Killaloe and finishes at the Bunratty Castle Hotel on June 30.
