The greatest moments of Alex Ferguson’s era in charge thanks to Snickers

Love him or hate him, Manchester United will never be the same without one of the greatest managers to grace the game.

Whether you're a Manchester United fan or not, there is no arguing that Alex Freguson has written his name in the history books alongside such great managers as Matt Busby, Bill Shankly, Jock Stein, and Fred Pentland.

He has been the most successful manager in the history of the English game, winning 25 major titles in his years at Old Trafford, culminating in the club's 20th title winning season this year.

When he began his career, his ambition was, famously to knock “Liverpool right off their f**king perch”, and he has certainly achieved that, but there have been many great moments and achievements throughout his career that are worth a mention.

We'll start our recollection with his appointment, and his very first TV interview with the BBC, and a very young looking Alex Ferguson talking about how proud he is to take the job

 

Of course, there was that famous night in Barcelona, one that every United fan will remember, which must be included here.

 

In 2003/04 , Arsenal did the unthinkable and went an entire season unbeaten, but it was Manchester United and Alex Ferguson who beat them first as they were on the cusp of a 50th game. Talk about spoiling the party.

 

“You can't win anything with kids” as they say. Or, alternatively, you win the double in 1996 by beating your old foes Liverpool in the FA Cup final.

 

In 1993, Alex won his first league title, which would be the beginning of an incredible and unprecedented period of dominance in the game. Brian Kidd was happy about it too.
