Bill and Ted 3 sounds most excellent
It looks like we might be getting a second sequel to cult classic Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.
The movie which spawned the sequel Bill and Ted’s Bogus Adventure was one of the most popular movies of the late eighties.
It’s being reported that stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are both on board as is original Bill & Ted creators Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson who are working on the script.
All that remains to be sorted is finding a studio that will co-finance the venture as MGM pictures still owns the rights, this shouldn’t be too difficult given the success of the original movie.
The movie wouldn’t be a reboot like 21 Jump Street but focus on where original protagonists Ted Theodore Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq. are in their lives today.
Legendary comedian George Carlin, who played Bill and Ted’s mentor Rufus in the original, passed away in 2008 and his character won’t be recast.
We’re a big fan of 80's nostalgia and would love to see what the characters are up to twenty years later.
It would be most excellent.
