Home and Away star Luke Mitchell, better known to most as Romeo, was at Gowran Park yesterday, so a hurling picture was inevitable.
By Declan Whooley
The Australian was in town to judge the inaugural Kilkenny Senior Hurlers Family Race Day yesterday, running the rule over the wives of the Kilkenny players to select the ‘Most Appropriately Dressed Lady’.
Mitchell is not the first Summer Bay actor to pick up the hurl, as Steve Peacocke, better known to us as Brax, was introduced to the ancient sport in Mayo back in January.
In fairness to Brax, he was never likely to get his hands on the Liam McCarthy in Mayo, and may be a little jealous that his colleague was spending time in the most successful hurling county of them all.

Judging by the comments on his Instagram count, there was no shortage of women at the track offering him a quick puck.
