Michael Fassbender has finally spoken out about being snubbed for an Oscar for his role in the film Shame. What has he said? Eh…well basically that taking a p*ss cost him a nomination…

The Irish Daily Star reports that the Fassbender has confessed that his feelings were pretty hurt when the Academy passed him over in this year’s Oscar Awards.

In fact the part-Irish actor believes that the onslaught of full-frontal nude scenes in the film didn’t do him any favours either when it came to his chance for getting a best actor nomination.

“It’s a vanity thing. It does become important to you and it shouldn’t,” said Fassbender, talking about the Awards.

“That peeing cost me an Oscar. After a certain point you worry it detracts from the movie. But there’s nothing I can do,” he said.

Well Michael, you could keep your clothes on for your next film. After all, you’re an epic actor who has a knack for making great movies. But then again, you’d probably lose a lot of ticket sales from all the women folk if you don’t flash the flesh at some point. It’s a Catch-22 situation we’re afraid.

We love you for your mind, but there are a lot of women out there who love you for something else. Ahem…

Anyway, will the Fassbender be cut up about his lack of an nomination for much longer? Not likely. Apparently he’s already gotten over it.

“I just have to laugh it off,” The Fassbender added.

Good man. Sure there’s always next year, right? Eh…just try to avoid taking a p*ss in any future film projects and you should be grand…
