Rubberbandits celebrate Christmas with... Bono?
A year ago the Rubberbandits' hopes of an Irish Christmas number one were cruelly dashed but twelve months later, Limerick's finest celebrated with a knees-up with Bono.
The comedic duo were spotted at Harry's Cafe Bar in Dublin, shopping bags masks and all, downing pints with the U2 frontman.
The night itself was the Christmas party for staff of the band's management company, Principal Management and the Limerick lads had been invited to the bash at the behest of U2's manager Paul McGuinness.
As an onlooker explained to the Irish Sun: "They seemed to be having a good laugh together, it all looked to be good fun.
"The Rubberbandits would have stuck around for longer but they'd to go play a concert."
Speaking of Bono, U2's 360 degree show helped the band become named as the highest earning touring act of 2011. In total, the band grossed €216 million with 44 sold-out gigs around the world, of which a total of 2,887,972 people attended. Perhaps Mr Chrome and Blindboy Boatclub walked away with a few success tips from the bespectacled one.
