Frank Sivero has claimed that The Simpsons ripped off his character Frankie Carbone from the ‘90s classic film Goodfellas and he wants to be paid for it…
Sivero believes that the Springfield Mafia member Louie is closely based on his character of Carbone and that he deserves to be compensated for stealing his character… apparently this plagiarism is worth $250 million, which will be quite the pay-out if it goes through, although we think Fat Tony might have something to say on the matter.

Sivero alleges that in 1989 he lived next door to the writers of The Simpsons, who he claimed studied him and created the character of Louie directly in the image of his Goodfellas character.
All we can say is that we are happy that our favoured character of Johnny Tightlips is not under scrutiny although even if he was, we doubt the court would be able to get much out of the Mafia member…
