Sunday Morning Chill-Out Tracks: Cults, Halves and Villagers

02/09/2012 9:00 am

Another lazy Sunday is upon us so why not let JOE provide the soundtrack with our Sunday Chill-Out Tracks.

By Peter Cooney

Cults – ‘Go Outside’

‘Go Outside’ is taken from The New York duo’s eponymous debut album released last year. With a wonderfully chilled sound, the track is a sure way to relax this Sunday morn.

Halves – ‘Darling, You’ll Meet your Maker’

The Dublin five piece have been active on the Irish music scene since 2006 and released their debut album ‘It Goes, It Goes (Forever and Ever)’ in 2010, which was nominated for the Choice Music Prize.

Villagers – ‘The Waves’

‘The Waves’ is the latest track from Villagers and is scheduled to be released on October 22. Debut album ‘Becoming a Jackal’ was a critical success, with the album nominated for the Choice Music Prize and the Mercury as well. Conor O’ Brien also received the Ivor Novello award for the track ‘Becoming a Jackal’.
