Irish stunner Katie McGrath lands a leading role in US series 'Dracula'
The Wicklow born actress, Katie McGrath, has landed a career boosting role as one of the leading characters in a new major US TV series.
It looks like were going to be seeing a lot more of Katie McGrath on our TV screens and we have to say, we couldn’t be happier. The 29-year-old babe from Ashford, Co. Wicklow, will star alongside fellow Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers in new series for Sky Living.
The new 10-part series, ‘Dracula’, which airs in the US later this year, will see Katie playing the fictional character Lucy Westenra, while Rhys Meyers will be playing the man of the hour, Dracula.
The series focuses on Dracula as he arrives in London posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to 1890’s London, even though his real intentions are to take revenge on those who have stiffed him over centuries earlier.
However, while all this is going on, he falls in love with with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.
It sounds like it could be a good watch, and we’ll definitely be having a gander now that we know Katie will be staring in it.
