Just how easy is it to steal a car in Ireland or tamper with the clock? A new series will tell you
Thinking of buying a second hand car? Hmm you might rethink your decision after you watch this.
TV3 has a new series that is set to investigate fraud in Ireland and the first thing on their list? Car scams and dodgy car dealers. Optimum viewing if you’re thinking about upgrading or splashing out on a brand new car.
The show, presented by Jim McCabe, will investigate the on-going epidemic of car clocking in Ireland and show you how to avoid getting caught out by smooth car dealers who could probably sell ice to an Eskimo.
Beware Ireland: Car Scams and Dodgy Dealers will also feature interviews with people who got landed with a clocked car and who were victims of other car-related frauds.
Jim also talks to two professional car thieves who basically tell him how easy it is to steal a car in Ireland. It’s definitely interesting viewing.
Apparently fraud has become one of the biggest crimes in Ireland, which is why TV3 has decided to investigate the problem. Beware Ireland will be a series of programmes that will each attempt to examine serious frauds and scams that are currently targeting the Irish public.
What can you expect over the coming weeks? Investigations into identity theft, fake charities, dodgy builders and a rundown of some of Irelands best known fraudsters.
We think we’ll be acting a lot more wary about things from now on…
Catch Beware Ireland: Car Scams and Dodgy Dealers on TV3 tomorrow night at 9pm.
