The series begins with Bobby's son Christopher preparing to marry his fiancee Rebecca, a grand occasion that has brought the whole family back to Southfork Ranch. However, Bobby is hiding a terrible secret - while John Ross Ewing, son of notorious schemer JR, has been doing some dodgy deals that threaten to tear the clan apart once more. Movie Pick: Road to Perdition, TG4, 9.30pm

Devoted husband and father Michael Sullivan leads a secret life as a hitman, but faces a crisis when his son witnesses his involvement in a killing. The lad promises to keep his mouth shut, but one of Sullivan's fellow gangsters wipes out the rest of his family - forcing father and son to go on the run together. Sam Mendes' crime drama set in Depression-era Chicago, starring Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Jude Law and Jennifer Jason Leigh. It’s a really good movie and if there’s nothing else on that takes your fancy then this is a good watch.
