14/08/2012 7:10 am

Tonight's TV features the hilarious Rob Brydon, Swindon v Brighton and the TV3 movie The Bone Collector.

Main Event: The Rob Brydon Show, BBC2, 10pm

Everyone’s favourite Welshman, Rob Brydon, returns with another series of music, chat and comedy. Stand-up star Michael McIntyre talks about fatherhood, meeting Prince Charles and going back on tour, Blur bassist Alex James reveals his secret passion and singer Amy Macdonald discusses her musical inspiration before performing. If you’re a fan of Brydon’s acting then you’re sure to love his new show.

Sporting Pick: Swindon v Brighton, Sky Sports 1, 7.30pm

Swindon Town v Brighton & Hove Albion (Kick-off 7.45pm). Tonight’s coverage features all the action from the first-round clash at the County Ground. The teams last met here in a League One fixture, when Brighton recorded a 2-1 win, but the Robins will be hoping to make home advantage count this evening. It’s not top flight, but it’s sure to get your taste buds tingling for the weekend’s action.

Movie Pick: The Bone Collector, TV3, 9pm

If you haven’t seen this before we highly recommend that you watch it tonight. The Bone Collector looks at a quadriplegic ex-cop who is saved from the brink of suicide by a rookie female officer needing his expertise to form a psychological profile of a serial killer. The murderer is posing as a cab driver and terrorising Manhattan, and has a gruesome habit of taking trophies from his victims' bodies. It stars Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Michael Rooker, Mike McGlone, Luis Guzman and Queen Latifah.

On-Demand Pick: Blue Bloods

Tonight’s On-Demand pick is the US cop drama Blue Bloods. It follows a family of New York cops as they struggle with the everyday life in the NYPD and also at home. Blue Bloods, along with a wide variety of other great TV boxsets and movies, is available for free to all UPC customers on the UPC On-Demand service. The service also includes the RTÉ Player and the 3Player, so make sure to check out UPC's new On Demand service if nothing tickles your fancy tonight.
