Video: DCUtv takes on TrinityTV in this Anchorman fight scene remake

DCUtv’s news team recently took a stroll through the Trinity College campus where they stumbled across their TrinityTV counterparts. Safe to say, sh*t got ugly pretty quickly…

Ahead of DCUtv’s 24-hour broadcast this coming Friday (December 6) in aid of the Make a Wish Foundation, the lads took a stroll through the Trinity College campus where they came across the TrinityTV news crew. In typical Anchorman rivalry fashion, the two news teams decided the only way to iron out their differences was with a fight to the death (makes sense, right?) and it didn’t take long for the news teams to brandish an array of weapons, including a shoe bayonet and a petrol bomb… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_B-i2v8r5s&feature=youtu.be JOE was onto the Channel Four News Team impersonators who told us that characters in question are named Tom Flaherty (played by Kenneth Browne), Cormac MacCormac (Niall Farrell), Dick Richard Richardson (Peadar Gill) and Scab Shasterberry (Brian McLoughlan). David Atkinson, Steve Kampff and Sarah from DCUtv produced the video collaboration and according to the lads from DCU, the Trinity security guards weren’t too impressed when they taped the knife to the shoe. We asked the lads what the reaction was like from other students who were watching from the sidelines: “A few builders sat having their lunch laughing at a load of college students lighting a petrol bomb and at one point we had to ask a group of people to get out of the shot.” The guys are doing the 24-hour broadcast for a good cause so make sure to check out DCUMPS.com from 10pm tomorrow night for the live show.
