On last night’s wonderfully bizarre Graham Norton Show, Will.I.Am relayed a story about being told by Michael Jackson to go pick apples on a horse while the two of them spent time in Ireland. Yes, you heard us.
Looking at the line-up for the always excellent Graham Norton Show last night, one wouldn’t have expected it to reach its usual high standards.
Instead, Black Eyed Peas singer Will.I.Am, elderly lesbian actress and voice artist Miriam Margolyes and The Inbetweeners Star Greg Davies contributed to one of the most bizarre and hilarious episodes of the chat show programme, one of the highlights of which was a bizarre anecdote told by Will.I.Am of the time Michael Jackson told him to take the horses out to pick some apples while the two of them were in Ireland. No, really.
The tale is really too bizarre to attempt to describe in words, it’s best just to have a look at the clip above and listen to it yourself.
There was plenty of hilarity on the show apart from Will.I.Am’s Michael Jackson story, the majority of which was provided by the far from politically correct 71-year old Margolyes, such as when she told Will.I.Am she was “fascinated” by him because she didn’t know many black people.
Despite precious little in common, the chemistry between the three guests worked a treat and Norton, who is often the star of the show despite the A-List guests, was happy to sit back and let them take the limelight.
Check out the little snippet from a wonderfully entertaining programme for yourself in the video above.
