Yesterday the new trailer for the video game Resident Evil 6 was released, but in our excitement we failed to spot that another clip arrived - Resident Evil Retribution.

The fifth installment in the film adaptations of the survival horror series brings a returning Milla Jovovich as protagonist Alice (not to mention her real-life husband, director Paul WS Anderson behind the camera), who is captured by the nefarious Umbrella Corporation and awakens in the heart of their operation facility.

As she moves further in the complex, more of her past is unveiled and continues to hunt for those responsible for the outbreak, with her quest taking her and her newfound allies from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow.

Hopefully, the film itself will be just as action-packed as its filming, where 16 zombies were injured after an accident on set. Ouch.

Take a look at the first trailer above and its assortment of Sony products (how many can you spot?) and temper your excitement, as the film doesn’t infect Irish cinemas until September 14.
