It's a strange world we live in where we now watch trailers for soon to be revealed trailers but either way, this brief look at the Avengers' Super Bowl trailer should make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.

The star studded cast includes Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), in addition to Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgård, who are reprising their respective roles as Loki and Professor Selvig from last summer's Thor.
