There are some analogies that deserve as big an audience as possible. Take Ken Early's two-minute radio soliloquy on Spain and bullfighting on Off The Ball last night.
Euro 2012 has progressed smoothly for Spain, who have conceded just one goal en route to the semi-finals as they bid to become the first team ever to win three straight tournaments.
Going back to Euro 2008, they have now played eight consecutive knockout games without conceding a single goal. We should be rejoicing in this supremacy, right?
Well, not everyone is, and the debate on the merits of this Spanish team is growing ever more intense as the build-up to Wednesday's semi-final against Portugal continues.
And Ken Early, Newstalk's football honcho and co-presenter of its weeknightly Off The Ball sports show, is one who has had enough of tiki-taka.
