Move over Merkel, here’s another brilliant Irish flag

Those Merkel lads have a rival, as this latest Irish flag is pretty damn good too.

We have always enjoyed a little chuckle over the surnames of Simon Cox and Shane Long when they are put in a particular order. We know it’s childish but we don’t care.

We even asked one of the dynamic duo, Shane Long, about the cracking name collision when we spoke to him a few months back. The fun to be had with their names hadn’t occurred to the Tipp man but he did say that the name would be justified. We will leave that there.

Anyway, some of the hordes heading to Poland think it’s pretty hilarious too so they have dedicated a flag to it, with Spain and Italy’s biggest talents being mocked for good measure.

Is it better than the Merkel flag? We don’t want to have to choose so let us know in the comments below.
