Video: Wojciech Szczesny shows why he should be playing outfield for Poland at the Euros

You’ll go a long way to find a better goal than the one scored by Arsenal ‘keeper Wojciech Szczesny at Poland training this week.

Granted, there was nobody actually in the goal when Szczesny struck a beautiful ‘rabona’ effort into the top corner, but considering that his Polish understudy is bumbling Arsenal reserve ‘keeper Lukasz Flappy-hands-ski, he probably wouldn’t have saved it anyway.

The footage was taken at Poland’s training camp in Lienz earlier this week and thank God for Szczesny that it was, for he looks mortified immediately afterwards at the prospect that nobody actually saw possibly the best thing he’s ever done on a football pitch.

That was until he saw a video camera in the distance and made a beeline over to the cameraman to ensure that the event was recorded for posterity. While the Gunners ‘keeper has a long way to go before he matches the feats of Rene Higuita, Jorge Campos, Jose Luis Chilavert and others, this is a pretty good start, we think you’ll agree.
