Audio: Here's what Shay Given had to say about retirement

Shay Given has had his troubles against Croatia and Spain, but it will still be a major disappointment when he finally hangs up his gloves. Which, it seems, could be pretty soon.

Ireland's record caps man has had fingers pointed in his direction for at least three goals during Ireland's two defeats in Poland to date.

His fitness in the prelude to the tournament was the subject of plenty of debate, and now there would appear to be a distinct possibility that Monday night's final Group C game against Italy will be his 125th and last for Ireland.

The 36-year-old Donegal man spoke to the BBC an hour or so after the game last night. Here's what he had to say:
