Fabregas shows Fergie how to play it tactically
Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has gone to the trouble of picking his Manchester Unied XI ahead of the Champions league final with Barcelona, but there's no place for Chicarito or Nani in his line-up.
Going by Fab's scribblings on a blackboard (above) he sees Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick as the men to put the stops on Barca's accelerating attacks from Messi, Iniesta, Xavi and co.
It's an unlikely scenario as Alex Ferguson couldn't possibly leave both Nani and Antonio Valencia out of the starting team.
Javier Hernandez has been in spectacular form this season and his place looks assured, but Fabregas isn't alone in his opinion to play it safe.
Arsenal team-mate Jack Wilshere believes United should adopt the 4-3-3 formation with Fletcher included.
"You have to stop Xavi, Messi and [Andrés] Iniesta as they can kill you. I would play Fletcher, one more in midfield. I would play Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs and then Fletcher just doing what he normally does – running everywhere," Wilshere said.
"United have a better chance than we have. They have players like Fletcher, Park, Valencia. They are all runners and they can stop players."
Indeed. So who's that Cesc's got on the right wing?
