The ex-girlfriend of Newcastle United midfielder Alan Smith has hacked into his Twitter account this afternoon, posting a series of revealing tweets.

Ex-striker Smith, who has hit the net an astonishing zero times in 81 appearances since his £6m transfer from Manchester United, will not be best pleased to hear that his apparent ex-girlfriend hacked into his account to post a series of rants directed at the 30-year-old.

The account, AlanSmithy17, can expect a surge in followers if his jilted ex continues entertaining Twitter users with her angry tweets.

Already the unnamed ex has begun a plea to have #AlanSmithToRetire trending on the micro-blogging site, while she has also posted personal details that suggest the player is only concerned with lining his pockets than joining his boyhood favourites Leeds United.
