Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas flies into his hometown of Barcelona today for a holiday as the Catalan giants prepare to keep him there for good.
A renewed bid to prize their long sought-after target away from London is expected in the coming days.
Barca chiefs are aware that the Gunners won’t settle for much less than £50million and that they will need to improve on an initial £35m bid.
Part of the deal could be that the European Champions offer a choice of players from their youth ranks in a bid to sweeten the deal.
Arsene Wenger has remained defiant over a possible return to Spain for Fabregas, however, team-mate Bacary Sagna has said that the Spaniard is definitely a want away at the Emirates.
“I can say it’s true that Cesc wants to go to Barca,” said the defender.
