Fifa President Sepp Blatter looks certain to hold onto his position following the withdrawal of Mohamed Bin Hammam from the election race.
The Asian Football Confederation boss, due to face bribery claims, has pulled out as he does not want to see Fifa's name "dragged more in the mud".
Both Mr Bin Hammam and Mr Blatter are under investigation over corruption but they deny the claims.
Mr Blatter is now the only remaining candidate in the election of the new Fifa president, scheduled for Wednesday.
"I cannot comment on the proceedings that have been opened against me today,” the Fifa chief said on Friday. “The facts will speak for themselves."
It will be Mr Blatter's fourth term in office if he is elected.
