Manchester City have long been trying to change Mario Balotelli’s image, but it looks like the Italian has made a drastic change of his own with an eye catching haircut.

A week after his training ground bust-up, Manchester City took to Twitter this morning on a more positive note about their striker, to ‘highlight’ his bright new hair-do.

Balotelli has decided to adopt the blonde look which some may feel is in-keeping with his personality. He will hope to give it a run-out at the Emirates this Sunday and get back to making headlines for footballing reasons.

AC Milan owner  Silvio Berlusconi this week described the striker as a ‘bad apple’ and said the club would not buy such a disruptive character. That will presumably be water off a duck’s back for Balotelli.

As yet there have been no comments from Mancini about his thoughts on the new image.
