The seemingly endless Carlos Tevez transfer saga took on a new twist last night after the Argentine striker’s advisor insisted the player will stay in England.
Though the 27-year-old has cited a myriad of reasons for his dissatisfaction at Eastlands (missing his family in Argentina, falling out with ex-City CEO Garry Cook, no decent restaurants in Manchester), it appears as though his homesickness will no longer be an issue.
“His family are now living in England, so he’s quite happy and settled,” Tevez’s advisor Kim Joorabchian told the Daily Mirror.
“He had some problems about being away from them before, but they are with him now and everything is fine. He’d be happy to move to another Premier League club.”
With that in mind, would Manchester City be happy to sell their once-prized asset to a rival club, especially since the striker’s antics in the Champions League in late September have lowered his transfer value substantially.
Although Tevez was initially charged with failing to come off the bench to play in the away tie to Bayern Munich, Joorabchian also insisted that his client was “desperate to play” in the game.
He loves to play the game and always wants to play. Having to sit on the sidelines is very tough for him.
“It’s not easy for him at the moment, but, in the January transfer window, City will want to get him out either on a permanent basis or on loan.
“We’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
Which club can you eventually see Tevez plying his trade? Let us know in the comments section below.
