Celtic’s interest in Wojciech Szczesny will probably come to nothing, according to reports in the British media.

Neil Lennon’s side are said to have shown interest in signing the 20-year-old Polish international on loan recently.

Celtic’s current number one is Fraser Forster, though the Old Firm side fear that Forster could be recalled by his parent club in January.

Szczesny impressed for the Gunners in their 4-0 Carling Cup victory over Newcastle and Arsenal are said to be reluctant to let him leave.

With Vito Mannone currently on loan to Hull, Szczesny’s departure would see them with only two senior goalkeepers at the club.
