It looks like the FAI have had a little chat with Giovanni Trapattoni, so he will be clocking up the air miles to England to watch some football.
It was one of the biggest issues many critics of Giovanni Trapattoni had and it seems the lads at the FAI have had enough too. Following the backing Trap received from his employers this week, it is reported today that the Italian was instructed to get off the couch and back into the stands and watch some actual football.
That change of policy starts this weekend, with Trap reported to be heading to watch Arsenal against Norwich tomorrow. That is good news for fans of Wes Hoolahan and Anthony Pilkington and it is a sign that the days of observing potential call-ups via DVD only may be over.
It is early days but we hope that we see our manager out and about most weekends, in England and Scotland, watching potential call-ups and monitoring the form of our current starters.
It can't hurt anyway.
