French 'keeper recommends peeing on your leg to keep warm in freezing temperatures

St. Etienne take on Lorient in the French League this weekend, and the Lorient players would be advised to steer well clear of eccentric St. Etienne ‘keeper Jérémie Janot if at all possible.

With temperatures expected to plummet to as low as -13C in France goalkeepers are set to bear the brunt of the cold more than most, but Janot isn’t overly concerned because he has a plan to keep himself nice and cosy: donning a wet suit and peeing down his leg.

"The best is to wear a surfing suit,” Janot told L’Equipe magazine.

“And with 15 minutes left, you pee in the suit and then you can go straight to the shower," he added.

Fortunately for the Lorient players and probably Janot himself, he is likely to start on the bench this weekend, but despite being wrapped up and benefitting from the body heat of team-mates sitting close by, he says that being on the bench is worse than being exposed to the elements out on the pitch.

"It's worse, even with the blankets," Janot added.

Does that mean that he still plans to p*ss himself, even though he'll probably be on the bench for 90 minutes? He wouldn’t be the first player to relieve himself in the dugout, mind.
