Manchester United’s new home kit is bad, Liverpool’s third kit is worse but Arsenal’s new away kit may be the worst yet.
It is hard to move these days without a kit being launched. With the Euros over and the Olympics yet to get going, football clubs are using these few weeks to grab themselves some headlines.
But the new Arsenal away kit seems to be grabbing the wrong kind of headlines, and we can understand why.
A purple and black striped number, it has been dubbed as one for Goths in some papers today. It’s not all bleak though as the goalkeeper’s jersey is bright pink.
On the positive side, the shirt is Nike’s most environmentally friendly shirt ever, made as it is of recycled plastic bottles, with 13 going into every shirt and shorts combo.
Oh, and the socks are also purple and black hoops with one red stripe in the middle.
