James McClean gets a live-in minder
Derry City goalkeeper Eugene Ferry will move in with his good mate James McClean to help keep the Sunderland ace out of trouble.

The Republic of Ireland winger has landed himself in hot water with some outspoken views and much of his troubles has been attributed to his inability to settle properly in Wearside.
Derry City goalkeeper Eugene Ferry has decided to take up the request of McClean’s agent and will move in with McClean and his girlfriend when the season draws to a close next week.
Ferry is a long-time pal of the Ireland winger and despite preparations for the FAI Cup Final against St. Patrick’s Athletic on Sunday week to prepare for, he travelled to Sunderland yesterday to confirm the move.
“He wasn’t really settling down and there was all that stuff in the media,” he said in today’s Daily Mirror.
“James agreed that it would help him settle down if one of his mates moved over with him.”
Ferry has been with the Candystripes since 2005 but also works in a bar in Derry to support his income. Sunderland are lining up a role within their Foundation as he has a degree in Education and PE.
The goalkeeper has admitted that it will be a bit odd moving in with a couple but that it will also be fun.
“I’ll keep him on the straight and narrow by getting him to keep his head and stop writing those stupid comments,” he added.
We will keep a close eye to see how this relationship turns out.
