Jose Mourinho's first act as Chelsea boss will be to sell Fernando Torres and Juan Mata, if he can find a buyer for them
By Adrian Collins
According to reports in Spain, it looks like the new old Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking to stamp his authority on the Chelsea squad in short order, by making his first official move to put Fernando Torres and Juan Mata on the 'for sale' list.
According to Radio Marca, the radio station of the Spanish sports daily of the same name, Mourinho has some other targets for the front line on his list, including Edin Dzeko, and that would leave no space in the front line for the Spanish pair.
The decision to shift Torres makes sense, as he's enjoyed a disappointing spell at Stamford Bridge, however Juan Mata has been a real success, and seems more of an attempt to show that he has control on the squad rather than anything else.
Who knows though, after Mourinho's own troubles with Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos at Real Madrid, he might just want to get rid of Spaniards in the squad in case they start giving him grief again.
