Only the formalities to be sorted out later this week between Blackpool’s Charlie Adam and Liverpool for his quick return to Premier League football.
The Reds have been chasing the Tangerines skipper since January and are now set to get their man for €10million with final talks to be held between club and player later this week.
The 25-year-old will sit down with Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli on Thursday to negotiate terms.
The transfer bid will be accepted by Blackpool as they just can’t allow a deal like this to go amiss, given that they have been relegated and the timing is right to cash in on the midfielder.
Kenny Dalglish is a busy man in the market at the moment having already captured Jordan Henderson from Sunderland and is closing in on signing Arsenal’s left back Gael Clichy and Birmingham central defender Scott Dann.
King Kenny is facing competition for Dann’s signature from the Gunners, though, with an €11.5m price tag attached to the player.
