Picture: Looks like Fergie gave David Moyes a tour of the Man United training ground today

David Moyes doesn’t officially become Manchester United manager until July, but he was keen to get used to his new surroundings today and he picked the right man to show him around.

Considering the Premier League season ended yesterday, you would think that most players and managers would be jetting off to various exotic locations on holiday today but David Moyes instead decided to take a trip to Manchester United’s Carrington training ground to get a feel for what awaits him when he takes up the job next month.

Obviously keen for his successor to settle in as quickly as possible, it seems as if Alex Ferguson was the man showing him around this afternoon, at least according to this picture of Fergie, Moyes and Manchester united kitman Albert Morgan that was doing the rounds earlier today.

On first viewing we suspected that it might be photoshopped but it is common knowledge that Moyes was in fact present at Carrington today, although Moyes will have to ensure that he’s not taking a back seat to Fergie when he’s the manager and the former United boss takes up his directorial and ambassadorial roles next season.
