Porto say they've received no Chelsea offers for their incredible Hulk
You would be forgiven for thinking that Brazilian striker Hulk's move to Chelsea had happened weeks ago but according to Porto, no offer has yet been made.
Earlier this month it was widely reported that the 25-year-old forward was on his way to Stamford Bridge, amid Chelsea's summer spending that included Eden Hazard and Marko Marin. Though reports circulated of a £38 million transfer fee, Porto's president has today rubbished such speculation.
"According to the newspapers, Hulk would be long gone now, but what I can guarantee today is that Porto have not yet received any offers for him," club president Pinto Da Costa told Antena 1.
Despite Pinto's tough stance, the move still looks likely to happen, with Hulk himself publicly speaking of his desire for the move.
"Chelsea are the current European champions and would please any player and I'm no exception. I'd be happy if the transfer happened," Hulk told sports site O Jogo.
"I leave everything in the hands of Porto. I am under contract and I have been happy at Porto for four years, where I have achieved everything."
"I'll have the club in my heart no matter what happens this summer or in any other summer."
