Ivory Coast boss Sabri Lamouchi's job is safe until after Brazil, and then a very familiar face to Irish fans will step in.
According to this morning's Gazzetta dello Sport, former Republic of Ireland manager is to once again manage a team with a green, white and gold flag. Once the World Cup is over, Sabri Lamouchi will be leaving as Ivory Coast manager and the then 75-year-old Trap will step into his shoes.
Gazzetta report it's a four-year deal for Trap, which means he would be 79 by the end of the contract. They also report that Marco Tardelli will be joining Trap in the new gig.
Since leaving the Ireland gig, Trap has been linked with a few other jobs, most notably Lazio, and we never expected him to retire either.
We wish him the best of luck.
